The competency of employees working in the highway electrical industry has a direct bearing on the health and safety of people working in the industry. In order to conform to the National Highway Sector Scheme 8 (NHSS 8) the Highway Electrical Association (HEA) introduced the Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS). HERS has a strong element of Health, Safety and the ongoing monitoring and review of competence. The scheme requires everyone undergoing the sector scheme to build their knowledge and understanding through training, assessment and on-the-job.
In addition to the HERS competency Scheme there is also the CBQ-NVQ in Highway Electrical Systems at Levels 2 and 3 which also requires the HESA training courses to make up individuals underpinning knowledge for their portfolio’s. In order to facilitate the knowledge required ELS Training Ltd has been approved by the HEA to deliver over twenty different HESA courses including the ever-popular Manual Handling, EFAW, Traffic Management, Safe Isolation and G39 to name but a few. We would like to offer our services to anyone who requires any of the courses listed in our prospectus.
Some courses can be facilitated at your premises providing the room meets the requirements for course delivery. If you don’t see the course you’re looking for or are unsure which course is needed please do not hesitate in contacting us, we are happy to help.
